Experient Health Publishes Health Tips for Busy People in Latest Blog Post
by Yukki Berchein head researcherPeople are busy.
Busy with work. Busy with family. Busy with being busy, Experient Health wrote
in one of its latest Blog posts on its private health insurance exchange.
The latest
edition in Experient Health's living well blog series, launched to help more of
the community lead healthier lives as a key part of preventative medicine,
detailed why "you don't have to sacrifice your overall health for the
cause of being busy," write the Virginia Farm Bureau company, based in
Richmond, Va.
Experient Health
offered tips specifically designed for busy people.
"If you have
a sedentary job where you are sitting all day, take breaks to get up and walk
around," Experient Health wrote. "Do a few squats while you are
waiting at the copy machine. One of the keys is to try and keep moving even if
your job requires you to be sitting down all day."
Additionally,
Experient Health encouraged readers to use all the time of the day, even
sitting at a desk, to "chug those eight cups of water" recommended
for good health.
Parking farther
away from your workplace and walking can burn some extra calories each day,
too.
"Just ensure
you arrive in enough time that the extra distance won't make you late,"
Experient Health wrote. "Also, take the stairs instead of the elevator.
Did you know an average flight of stairs is roughly 12 steps? Throughout the
day you could rack up several additional steps, which equal more calories
burned."
