It’s easy to think that they’re just hardened versions of the same product because you don’t see them disappear through your drain but that’s not the case.

A lot of furniture, especially minimalistic ones, are made using plastic: your storage cabinets, chairs, tables, and desks. These things can all be made from plastic, and though there are other alternative, they aren’t as affordable. They’re also less likely to be eaten by termites and other pests and are very low maintenance, so people often prefer to go with plastic furniture.

Appliances

Most home appliances are made from plastic – air conditioners, washing machines, coffee brewers, and computers. Plastic provides a strong exterior that is resistant to many kinds of wear, which is why it is often used in the manufacture of appliances. Although they are not made entirely of plastic, most, if not all, have plastic parts within them that are imperative to their functionality.
