Essay Writing 101: Strong Vocabulary Brightens Up Everything

by Paper Success Best Dissertation Writing and Essay Writing

As we grow up, our learning motivations diminish as we get lazy about learning new words. As adults, we only tend to utilize those words or vocabulary, which we have learned over the course of our academic life. Having a conversation with your friends, family or communicating with people usually involves informal tone and language, which may restrict you to learn fresh words.

But when it comes to writing on regular basis, you need to constantly upgrade your vocabulary and you need to express yourself in clear tone and fashion. Essay writing is an art and that art is established over the course of years as you continue to learn and read more and more engaging content.

Setting Goals Will Help You Achieve More

According to a study, most people learn about 40-50 new words in a year under normal circumstances. But the thing is, are they enough if you have chosen writing as a career? Certainly not, I believe. Trust me, when it comes to professional creative writing, even learning 500 words a year is considered less. In writing, you need to learn as many words as possible in order to eloquently express your arguments. The essay writing theory is simple, the better you present your arguments, the higher grades or percentage you are likely to score.
For that, you need to set certain goals or targets for learning new fresh words or vocabulary. Since the essay’s fate is dependent on the effective use of words and vocabulary, you need to learn at least 20-25 fresh words a week. So, if you continued this temperament and kept on learning fresh words, there would come a time when you would have an adequate list of engaging words to choose from. However, this may sound unnecessary or boring to some people but when you have nothing to lose then you can at least give it a try. Essay writing involves the artistic amalgamation of creative ideas, thoughts, structural flow, vocabulary and relevant information on the proposed topic. So, it has to be drafted in a way, which would make it look better as writing reflects your personality and you always care about what you have to show to the world.

Read, Read, Read…

Reading more would allow you to write better and far more productively than you can imagine. So, if you expect to write better, you have to read content or material that goes beyond the scope of your interests. This would allow you to learn more, know more about different subjects, and examine things from a different perspective. Also, you would be able to build and establish more command over your dialogue and execute it well. Essay writing may seem daunting to most but reading more would certainly get you in the safer zone and help you write better.
