Enjoy Darjeeling in different seasons

Darjeeling is one of the most beautiful hill stations of India and shares its borders with many countries. As a result, it doesn’t only offer beautiful places to visit, but a glimpse of various cultures & lifestyles around. So if one is planning to visit the Queen of hills, one can visit the place on any day and any time of the year. Well, the hill station has a different beauty in each and every season. Darjeeling in the rainy season-

Soaked in rain, the queen of hills looks beautiful and romantic. Monsoon sets in Darjeeling in the month of June and lasts till August, or sometimes lasts a few more days. The queen of hills do not attract much tourists during the rainy season, so the ones who are visiting that time can get the solitary view of the beautiful place. The surroundings look greener during monsoons and the pitter-patter of rain drops from everywhere make a calming effect. The foggy weather creates a dream-like atmosphere that is best enjoyed with some hot Darjeeling tea and momos.


Darjeeling in winter season-

Winters are chilly and most of the tourists avoid visiting Darjeeling during that time. But winters are perhaps the best time to visit Darjeeling. Winters set in Darjeeling from December, and lasts till the last week of February or first week of March. The stores of Darjeeling are well-decorated and that makes the stores look colorful. Hotels and restaurants offer special menu and gift the customers on the eve of Christmas. Tea bungalows like Chamong Chiabari often offer special discounts and offers during this time. Visit around and go for trekking towards Sadakphu or Tumling to experience the snow. It is a sensible idea to come with proper protection against winter while one is visiting Darjeeling in winters.


Darjeeling in spring season-

Spring is the best season to visit Darjeeling. The spring season starts from March in Darjeeling and lasts till April’s last week. One can witness the beauty of nature here while she or he’s visiting the hill station in spring. One can enjoy views of some exotic & beautiful flowers like Magnolia and Rhododendrons while his or her stay here during the spring season. The weather is not too hot or not too cold during this time, which makes the perfect atmosphere to visit around.


Darjeeling during the summer season-

Summers are also called the tourist month as the season attracts most of the tourists during the season. The temperature remains between 10-20 degrees, which makes the hill station pleasantly beautiful. The sunny days can be best for photography.


So, one can visit Darjeeling in any season and on any day of the year. Different seasons cast a unique spell on the admirers of the queen of hills and each and every season has some unique attributes that cannot be missed.
