Edge vs AJ Styles Was In Plan for WWE WrestleMania 36

by Raunak Sharma Website Owner
After Randy Orton's turn on Edge last night at RAW, they look set for WrestleMania 36 match now. But I was wondering if that was the original plan.

During the Royal Rumble match, Edge and AJ Styles were likely building up. Styles was the first one who actually went toe to toe against Edge. However, Styles got injured when he oversold Edge's spear and his elimination from Rumble felt off. Karl Anderson also took on Edge only right after he entered the Rumble. I honestly feel they were going for Styles vs Edge at WrestleMania 36 until that.

The story could have been Rated RKO vs The OC. Randy already had issues with The OC from Survivor Series onwards. The story was right there to carry on. Edge with his part-time schedule could have popped up here and there during the build-up.

At the Saudi show, Rated RKO + Aleister Black or any random wrestler vs The OC could have taken place. This could have led to Styles vs Edge at WrestleMania. I would have been much more excited about that match as it is a never seen before match. But the latest injury might have robbed us out of it.
