Eco-Friendly Construction Materials You Should Start Using

by Wave Construction Construction
The initiative to reduce environmental damage is now needed in every industry especially in construction.

Companies and construction vendors are encouraged to manufacture materials that can reduce the negative impact on the environment, promote sustainable organic materials, and advocating the use of renewable energy.

Here are some environmentally friendly materials you should use if you want to contribute to a greener environment:

AAC Blocks

Autoclaved Aerated Concrete or AAC blocks are slowly becoming the preferred building material for industrial structures or residential and hotel buildings. Here’s why:

AAC blocks are composed of non-toxic materials including lime, sand, cement, water, and an industrial waste called fly ash. It is considered one of the most revolutionary construction materials in the 20th century because it is environmentally friendly, durable, and strong but lightweight, which is perfect for tall buildings. Additionally, because of its weight, AAC blocks save steel and concrete making it cost effective.

Now, you can find an AAC block supplier in Davao and in other parts of the Philippines.

Wool Bricks

Another innovative product that is possible to use commercially are wool bricks.
Developed by researchers from Scotland and Spain, the wool brick is a mixture of natural polymer (which can be found in seaweed) and wool, making it stronger and more resistant to cold weather.

The construction market is looking to replace the traditional brick for a more sustainable alternative, and wool brick is one of them.

ACP Panel

As we all know, steel is one of the most useful metals in the construction industry, though right now, the use of aluminum is becoming popular as well.

One of the best examples is the aluminum composite panel or ACP. It is a sandwich panel that is commonly used for a clean, sleek looking building aesthetic. ACP is also great for interior design, signage, and dividers.

Aluminum is one of the most environmentally friendly metals on the planet. It is recyclable, lightweight, and super versatile. In fact, 75% of the 1 billion aluminum produced is already recycled. Right now, the aluminum composite panel in Davao is widely used.

With the rising costs of building materials, using organic waste is really a good option, and good for the earth we are living in.
