Do you hate your job?

by Joseph Moran business, managing consultant Did you ever buy in to the American dream?  Did you dream of white picket fences, having 2.5 kids, a pet, and a house?  Is that your version of an American dream?  Well, today I’m going to tell you why having a job sucks and that it is not the way to achieving your dreams, whether it be American or not.

Why is it that having a job sucks?  Simply put, it’s not YOU that owns the company.  You are not the boss, and you do not get any direct benefit from your efforts.

Now, while I’m saying that having a job sucks, I’m not saying that you should all go and quit your jobs, but you need to wake up.  If you are living in a trance that your job is going to bring about all the wonderful joys of living comfortably on 401k, IRAs, and pensions,

Did you know that you need $2,000,000 in the bank, earning ~4% interest, just to have $80,000 to live off of annually?  How are you going to suffice that $2,000,000?  The answer is that you have to open your own business and venture out to be an entrepreneur.

When learning how to become an entrepreneur, studying risk assessment and investment are the two primary factors.  One, what business or industry has the lowest risk?  Two, what business requires the least amount of capital to start with the highest chance of return?

For the average person, the answer to both questions is network marketing.  It’s the lowest risk because it’s the least investment versus franchising or owning your own business.  It also give you one thing that every business person seeks: residual income.

The idea of setting up a system and getting paid on it forever is what every savvy business person looks to do.  And every business person knows that having a job sucks because you will never attain residual income while working for someone else.
