Diwali 2017 - Enjoy Diwali with Your Family with Happiness

Diwali is one of the biggest festivals or events for many people in all around India even Worldwide. It is a festival to enjoy the victory of Good over Evil for the society in all over India. The celebration styles and religious activities may differ from states to states or country-to-country but celebration’s enthusiasm remains same for all. This festival gives some good moments to all, either they are elder ones or children. This is the time to enjoy some quality time with family members, share happiness with each member of family, sharing sweets and get blessings from elders ones. With the children, family members also can enjoy bursting crackers with full safety.


There is a history behind the celebration of Deepavali festival. Lord Rama killed the demon Ravana on this day and releases his wife who has been abducted by the Ravana. After that lord Rama returned to his kingdom Ayodhya with his wife Sita and brother Lakshman. The people of Ayodhya lit the clay diyas at the entrance of their home to welcome them. From then it is happening till today


Deepawali is a long festival continuously celebrated till 4-5 days with the small events. Those events are known with the names Dhanteras, Choti Diwali, Badi Diwali (Main Deepawali), Govardhan Puja and Bhai Dooj. These small small events are actually festival which are celebrated by every people as the celebration of Diwali festival. There is some history behind the celebrations of each of 5 day's festival. Lord Ganesha, Lord Kuber, Lord Krishna and Goddess Lakshmi are the main God and Goddess of Diwali.

Diwali celebration starts with the festival Dhanteras, which is dedicated to Ayurveda Guru Dhanvantari. On this day, people purchased kitchen items or gold/silver jewellery. Many people buy Electronics items, Bike and Car on this special occasion of Deepawali. On the Second day, name "Choti Diwali" says all the things, it is the day before the main Diwali. Second day is also known as Narka Chaturdashi, which is a story of Lord Krishna and demon Narakasur.


The third day of Diwali is the main day on which every family in Hindu communities performs Lakshmi Pujan. Colourful Rangolis have been made at the entrance of the home and tiny lights have been hanged with the roof of the home. Ladies cooked the special food and sweets for this special day. Someone can call the priest at home for Lakshmi puja while some people worship by own with all the family members. Along with Goddess Lakshmi, God Ganesha's puja has also been made together. People offer Prasads, food and sweets to the God and Goddess. After the worship, people put the clay diyas at the every room & all other places inside the home, at the roofs and outside the home too. Now this is the time to enjoy bursting firecrackers with the children and family members.


On the fourth day people, perform the govardhan puja while the fifth day is dedicated to sisters and brothers. On the fifth day, Bhai duj is celebrated where sisters put a mark with roli on the brother's forehead and offer them sweets in exchange now a days brothers give some gifts to their sister with love.
