The nature of structural foam molding process leaves a rough streaky exterior finish on the outer surface of moldings. To diminish the roughness, a subsequent painting and filling operation is applied. These painting textures minimize any sort of irregularities in the molded surface. In this structural foam molding process, the foaming action within the used material demands that the material is fed into the mold tools immediately and hence, large feed gates are utilized in the process and high injection speeds are crucial.
