A curriculum vitae (CV) is a document with in-depth information about your achievements and expertise and is usually more than two pages long. It is much more than your career biography. It covers the educational qualifications along with the other accomplishments like awards, publications, honours etc.

It is a static document and is not altered for different positions being applied to. The changes are made in the cover letter that is attached along with the CV. An ideal CV should give an individual’s complete career path and should be properly organised and neatly laid out.

A Resume is a concise document submitted to the future employers that include a brief history of your work. It is normally not longer than one page and showcases the qualifications and experience of the individual. Differences

In a CV and a resume, there is a difference in the length, layout and the details included.

A Resume includes your contact information, your educational qualifications, skills, objective and experience. It can also include your hobbies and interests.
