Design your Travel with a Unique Theme & Make It Merrier

by Aleema Begham Traveller

Travel is fun, exciting, and brings a comfortable feeling for everyone.  Travel refreshes us from our boring routine life. No matter how old or young you are, no matter in which profession you are, travel brings out the hidden child in you. When you start exploring new destinations, you will gain awareness on plenty of things such as understanding people living under different cultures, and traditions, how to save money or even you will get to know yourself in tough times.

Not only these, a lot more we can learn while travelling. Instead of just exploring the popular sites, if you travel with a theme, the trip will become more interesting and more exciting. Traveling with a theme will give more unique and irreplaceable experiences.

Here’s simple idea on how to travel with a theme:

Step 1: Pick a theme

Be specific and pick a theme in which field you are interested in. The theme could be anything: modern art scene, fashion and shopping, destinations with rich history and literature, learning about cheese or wine production in certain regions, and much more! If you are confused to pick a theme, just think of your most interested things related to destinations and Google it. Check what results come and decide your theme.

Step 2: Research using multiple keywords

After selecting your theme, you have to research in depth on the selected theme. Read the related blogs on websites to get awareness. For example, take a theme ‘For my ’20s trip in Paris’ and search for “books on 1920s Paris”, “Paris speakeasies”, “Paris is 1920s” and check the number of references from the results and compile a list of destinations to explore.

Step 3: Plan your itinerary

Give priorities to your wish-listed destinations. Plan a list of what to see and what to do in your destination. With this, a general framework will complete. Tag the places on your Google Map which will helps you to check how far your site is separated from your location and plan your optimal route accordingly.

Step 4: Take help from locals and experts

Find locals and experts who share you interesting things as they are aware of the ins and outs of the city. Get lots of suggestions from them which reduce hassle to room in the unknown place. Also, speaking with locals will break the language barrier too.

Step 5: Read a Book

Read a book related to your destination so that you will get clues of visiting some other destinations too.

So, just sit down, relax, watch some videos or read a book and get your own unique theme for your next trip.  Just give a try to add something new to your routine travels. Return home with all new experiences.

Experience your upcoming trip with a unique thought!
