2.    Focus on the neckline. Necklaces are hot and there are many styles that can accentuate all types of necklines. Big beads are one of the most popular trends, including those that are anything but perfectly rounded. For more detailed clothing, keep a necklace simple. For those that are made in basic styles and single colors, one of the new bibs can add life. Just make it your sole accent so that it gets all the attention.

3.    Balance it out. If you wear chandelier earrings, keep the rest of your jewelry simple. The same is true of over-sized necklaces or multiple bangles. Determine where you want the area of focus to be and make that your biggest piece.

4.    Add a few big rings to your wardrobe. They can be solid metal or accented with all types of fake jewels, just so long as they are big. Think of how much attention a ring will get when you use your hands to express yourself as a gage for buying. Stackable rings are another popular trend that includes everything from plain metal bands to those with rhinestones or beads to accent them. Just make sure you limit them to one finger per hand.

5.    Single cuff bracelets. Some extraordinary styles include a variety of shapes and beads to create a cuff that is several inches in width. It is possible to find one that has only a few colors applied in interesting patterns to draw attention instantly to your unique piece of fashion jewelry.

6.    Broaches past and present. Some of the most interesting pieces of vintage jewelry include broaches but there are modern styles that will add just the right tough to jackets, dresses or blazers.

Fashion jewelry is a lot of fun to buy and to wear. Although the low cost of simulated fine jewelry gives you more options for accessorizing your wardrobe, stick with pieces that have a more realistic design that isn’t instantly recognized as a fake. Just because you pay less doesn’t mean everyone has to know it!
