Cradle Cap Prevention

Cradle cap is a common term for infantile seborrheic dermatitis which is usually a temporary condition and most of the times it will go away on its own. It generally affects the baby’s scalp, head, eyebrows, and areas behind the ears. Cradle cap isn’t serious and doesn’t hurt babies nor is it contagious. Just the thick crusting and white or yellow scales are quite unsighted for the parents and put them in stress while facing such a disorder.

It can easily be prevented if parents carry out the following effective measures on the daily basis:

Wash your baby’s scalp daily.

Bathe them daily and shampoo their scalp.

Help them shedding of the dry and scaly skin.

Use a soft washcloth to scrub of the dry skin.

Ensure that your baby is not having difficulty in adjusting to their environment and not dealing with hormonal imbalance.
