Some Cool Ways To Find Ideas For Your Content
How To Find Ideas For Content
If you’ve ever struggled to find content ideas, this is going to be very important for you, because, let’s face it, without ideas…we’ve got nothing.
But when you have an abundance of ideas, it’s much easier to go places.
Many people automatically think of articles or blog posts when they hear “content marketing.”
Content goes way beyond putting together a few paragraphs on a specific topic.
Ideas can come to you anytime and anyplace, so be prepared.
That means having the tools handy to help you jot down your ideas and even to start creating some of your content.
Some tools to use:
*Paper and Pen:
Keep a notebook and a pen handy to jot down ideas, start writing content or write full content pieces.
*Digital Notes:
Your cell phone also probably comes with note-taking capabilities.
*Camera:
Be ready to take photos. Sometimes they might be personal and other
times will be more related to what your target market is seeking.
*Video Camera:
For live action video, keep a video camera handy.
It doesn’t matter if you’re grocery shopping, at the beach, at your desk or waiting for the kids to finish baseball practice, if ideas strike you – you’ll be ready!
Ideas are everywhere…
Keep your mind on your target market as you use these resources:
*Blogs targeting similar markets to you.
*Blogs created by people in your target market.
Just about everyone has a blog these days.
Read the blogs of the people who you target with your marketing.
*Watch Your Competitors
See what your competitors (a.k.a other people reaching the same target market) are doing.
What types of content to do they give their readers and what do their readers respond to?
Your audience may be unique from theirs, but look for competitors who share a similar style and focus to you and you’ll get some great ideas from there.
*Social Media
What is your market talking about and asking for on Twitter and Facebook? Check out the trending topics on Twitter.
*Article directories
*PLR content
Try the articles at allprivatelabelcontent.com.
*Local traditional news media
Read and watch for local hot topics.
*Message boards and forums where your target audience gathers
Search Google for “[X topic] message board” or “[X topic] forum”.
Keep in mind not to spend a lot of doing this research – it should be a small part of your day.
The ideas above should already provide you with a source of plenty of ideas.
New topics are continuously emerging and there is always an opportunity to expand on or to make older ideas more useful.
Now let’s get into some Idea Starters.
