Connect.me and build your online reputation

It can be difficult to build a reputation online.  One way to build a reputation is by having someone else vouch for you.  It happens all the time on the offline world.  Have you ever applied for a job?  Every prospective employer asks for and checks references.

The prospective employer will call the people you list and ask them about you.  The reference vouches for you with that prospective employer.  The purpose is to find out what type of employee you will be.

vouch/vouCH/

Verb:
  1. Assert or confirm as a result of one's own experience that something is true or accurately so described.
  2. Confirm that someone is who they say they are or that they are of good character: "someone could vouch for him".


Now there is a way to get contacts to 'vouch' for you online.  It's called Connect.Me.  Your online contacts can vouch for you just as you can vouch for them.  This creates a list of tags that brand you.  And your vouches are listed on your profile.  As people vouch for you, your online reputation increases.

Right now Connect.Me is in Beta testing but you can still get started collecting vouches and vouching for others.  Take a look at My profile to see how it works.

Hi this is amazing ! As always Joseph Botelho shines and Excels for its own worth created and branded on the Internet He in my humble opinion ,needs no vouching by ord guys like me yes when Joseph or pplcherry the giants on the Apsense and Internet Vouch it carries the real weight and not vouching by folks like me scratching each others back ! All the best I wish I could join and get vouched but shall empty vouching be of any good without actual success on the internet?

They are building this site to be a trusted resource and not just more "I'll like yours if you like mine" among people looking to artificially establish their reputation. Right now a lot of people are at trusted status it is from among the trusted that they will be choosing 'FoundingTrust Anchors'. This will mean that people are truly trusted and the only way to become a trust anchor is to have 3 trust anchors vouch for you.

Tim, there's two ways to get started. The first is to create your own card and vouch for people that you know the second is for your contacts to vouch for you. You can connect your Twitter and FB accounts and that will allow you to vouch for your contacts right on the site.

Great article and source you @pplcheryl63 shared with us. But sounds like it not works as effectively as be more helpful for the reputation and for the business. Can you provide more stuff exactly how it works and why this more vouch increase the reputation!

It helps you reputation because each level is harder to reach. You need a larger and more diverse group of vouchers to reach these position. The final position will be very difficult to achieve because you can only reach trust anchor by having 3 trust anchors vouch for you. Trust anchors will be held to certain standards when vouching. Those standards eliminate the vouching simply because someone is there.

The system will work very well for the honest online marketers and business owners, It not going to work well for spammers, scammers and those promoting questionable biz ops.

Well They have pretty much killed any gaming of the system by Trust Anchors just giving out the special Trust anchor vouch willy nilly. Trust Anchors have a lifetime Maximum of 150 Trust anchor vouches. We are going to have to make each one count.
