Composite wood decking in India

concept of decking has been adopted in India in the recent years. The original
deck flooring concept began in the western countries more than a century ago.
It was used in large ships and posh night clubs which were visited by the rich
and famous people of those times. Travelling across continents in luxurious
expensive ships and having a booking at the upper deck was considered as a
symbol of wealthy and power. This are of the ship had only first class
accommodations and their entertainment sources. The poor were not allowed on
the deck floor. Use of lumber wood for its green tinted look or a red cedar for
its reddish appeal to the deck floor, were very popular wooden deck floor
choices. They continue to remain popular and highly valued even now.
Although wood is the preferred choice for decking requirement. But due to practical reason and requirement of strong and sturdy structure composite decking is preferred. This man-made concrete structure is made by fusing slabs and beams. They act as a compositely together and consists of a concrete cast topping on to metal decking. These concrete slabs use steel bars which are embedded within them. It is layered on top with a normal or light weight concrete category. It helps to strengthen the structure and diminish the dependence on any props and prevents the structure from cracking in case of fire. This way the degradation of the structure is prevented in case of accidents.
Wooden deck flooring is the tradition choice for decking solution because natural wood has its own characteristic and it impart this personality to the ambience due to it color, shade and granules. For example red cedar provides a reddish feel to the deck, while the lumber wooden deck material treated with pressure imparts a greenish tinge to the deck floor. Such exceptional shades of wood give a very rich look to the deck flooring.
