Living homes are those where a person lives in an apartment like setting and arranges for services necessary to accommodate that person’s needs and abilities. Senior retirement homes are those where a person is residing after retirement with the same age group of people independently which include all the necessary facilities like meals, water, gatherings, recreation activities, Housekeeping services, etc.

If a person is living with family then in a critical health condition they may visit a doctor with an elder member of a family. But in case of retirement home all the people are aged, and hence they need skilled staff, clinic services, nurse stations, specialized doctors for taking care of them on a daily basis who also help them in emergency conditions

Basic requirement:

The living home may have or not have the 24/7 hours water and electricity, housekeeping facilities but the retirement homes have this must having facilities because an elder person cannot run to find for water or in case if the power is gone then a generator provides a backup especially after sunset. It is necessary because they may also face a problem of eye-sighting. Housekeeping is also needed because they are not able to all of the work of home by alone.

Networking and Diversified Culture: 

A normal living home cannot provide you the atmosphere you can get in a retirement home.
