by Manish Gupta Internet Marketer
The new buzzword amongst the youth is MBA. All the students try hard every year to get into the best MBA colleges of India, through entrance exams, interviews etc. It is mainly because in today's world, knowledge of the market, business ethics, skills, analytical perfection etc are very important. An MBA degree provides all these and much more, which would help you, set up a successful career for yourself. However, there are different types of MBA programmes today, some of them are for 6 months, others for 1 year and the regular ones for 2 years. Students often get confused as to which one to choose and which one would help them the most. The comparison between them is a little ambiguous as all of them have their own sets of backdrops and advantages, however following are some basic features of all the three:

6 months MBA program:
* Takes up less time and gains you a degree which would help you get better opportunities. You do not have to apply for any entrance exam.
* Usually, completing a regular MBA leads to expenditure due to large chunks of fee. Since this is only for 6 months, it would only take a small amount to build you a career.
* You can work simultaneously. 6 months is a very short time in comparison to the regular 2 year old course. This can gain you advantage over others who would be completing the same thing in a longer period, while you can gain more experience by that time.

1 year MBA program:
* Also called the executive MBA courses, it is not for amateurs. It is for those who have minimum 5 years of experience in this field and are applying for upper managerial levels.
* Unlike regular MBA, it provides extensive study of the world of business, leadership, thorough analysis of the market, how to face harder challenges, etc.
* This one year MBA program helps you work simultaneously. There are evening classes or weekend classes. One can gain experience and work together, which helps in professional growth.

2 years MBA program:
* It is the most regular MBA program and also the most effective one since it covers all the requirements in 2 years. However, not everyone can apply for this in a good college.
* One has to give common entrance exams in order to get into a good mba college and attain this degree. One has to have the proper aptitude and potential to apply for a 2 year MBA program.
* It gives a more holistic approach since it is not merely based on theoretical knowledge. Practical knowledge is imparted to students in the form of workshops, internships, fully fledged classes, direct involvement with professors etc.

Thus, you can choose any of these, 6 months, 1 year or 2 years program according to your own convenience and preference. All of them have their own pros and cons, and can be best suited according to your needs. You need to make the right choice and get into the best college that provides these courses in MBA. Whichever program you choose, if you work hard, you are going to make it big in your career.
