Come November and 50% of students at FORE School, are already placed.
by Ravi Thakur EducationalistFor the batch that will pass out in 2016, it rained PPO’s (Pre
Placement Offers) and PPI’s (Pre Placement Internships) this season at FORE
School of Management, New Delhi. The highest domestic PPO was INR 13 Lakh plus.
Some of the corporates which offered PPOs at FORE were Asian Paints,
Hector Beverages, Genpact, KPMG, Cap Gemini, Hero MotoCorp, L&T Finance.
“The
trend is encouraging,102 companies participated in the summer internships, similarly
the pre-placement offers have increased too and more
than 100 students were already placed in October 2015. Some of the PPI
evaluations are still onand
50 % or more of the outgoing 2016 batch shall be
placedshortly”, said Prof. Rajneesh Chauhan, Chairperson-Placements at FORE.
“The continuous research and efforts to keep the curriculum
relevant to workplace, essentially makes FORE a preferred destination for more than 130 companies across verticals. With 85% of the faculty having
vast corporate exposure creating values for recruiters is a collective agenda
for the members of faculty at FORE. Even the selection committee at FORE, would
comprise of one panelist from the corporate sector,” earlier
reported, Prof. Neeraj Kumar, Executive Chairman-Admissions at FORE.
An International Immersion
program familiarizes students with global policies, practices, cultures. The admission policy framework of FORE also encourages
diversity. The present batch is highly diverse in terms of gender (34% female
students), academic background, and work experience. Unlike some IIMs,
FORE doesn’t offer incentives based on gender but in order to encourage
cultural diversity, a special weightage of 5% (over and above 100%) is offered
to candidates from North East India and J&K.
A
“special concession” amounting to 10% waiver in the tuition fee is also extended (over and above any other scholarship being given)
to the students who join the programme and are domiciled in the state of Jammu
& Kashmir and the 8 North-Eastern States of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam,
Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim.
The applications for the upcoming 2016-18 session at FORE
is open. Students can apply through theirCAT, XAT GMAT
scores.Though CAT/XAT/GMAT
score is apparently the primary benchmark for selection but in order to make it
more open for the students, weightage is distributed to other
skill sets and great deal of emphasis is given towards profiling cognitive abilities managerial qualities
and latent business leadership talent.
