Clone of A Day With Don Quixote - Spain Adventure

Even if you have not yet read Miguel de Cervantes novella, Don Quijote de la Mancha, no one should miss taking a tour to his castle and windmills while visiting Spain. Traveling solo around the globe is not as easy as traveling with others; however it truly has its' benefits, you can go WHERE EVER you want. If I would have traveled accompanied I would have probably missed out on an opportunity that made me see literature in a different way. The entire tour is approximately 11-hours; therefore don't count on doing other activities that day, since you do walk quite a bit and explore several towns around the Madrid 

The day started at 5:00 am and taking a subway to the outskirts of Madrid near Las Ventas bullring. A shuttle took a group of eight tourists to the Belmont castle. I was truly excited since it was my first time visiting a real castle in my entire life! (say goodbye to Disney!) To be honest it was not as magical as I had expected; however, it was indulging with history and passages that made me re-live this marvelous novella. This midlevel castle is in the outskirts of a small town named Cuenca. Its' streets are narrow and very colorful since every door in this town has curtains outside each door to allow the fresh air in their home. This is due to the lack of AC's in this province since they rely on natural-fresh air.

After a quick ride of vineyards and flowy hills, we reached a well-known vineyard, Mont Reagan. If you are into wine-tasting then this would absolutely be your favorite part. After a few bites of Spaniard cheese and grape-cider (since I do not consume alcohol), we had the opportunity to greet the owner and learn how wine takes its'flavor. You definitely cannot forget the distinct odor that penetrates every inch of the glossy wooden floor. Without a doubt, I learned a few new concepts that might be helpful on my next trip; or perhaps on my honeymoon.
