Checking In To Kimpton Hotels

by Spencer Travel Specialising in Business Travel, Corporate Travel,

Spencer Travel Managing Director, Penny Spencer, was recently invited to the United States to visit the global headquarters of Delta Air Lines. Penny flew with both Virgin Australia and Delta, explored Atlanta, and went behind the scenes at Delta HQ.

Along the way, Penny Spencer stayed at a pair of Kimpton hotels – part of the InterContinental Hotels Group.

Here’s what she thought of them.

Kimpton La Peer West Hollywood

Described as a “modern West Hollywood hotel in LA’s most walkable neighbourhood”, Kimpton La Peer Hotel is located close to the intersection of Melrose Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood’s Design District.

“This hotel is only a year old”, said Penny.

“It is a boutique hotel with a very Hollywood design style. Rooms were nice and large, but I found the bathroom a little small.

“There’s no real view to speak of, but the hotel has a great rooftop events area. The bar and restaurant are totally happening. Anyone who likes funky design hotels will love Kimpton La Peer.

“My only real gripe was that my bag took 45 minutes to get to my room, and the bar service was quite slow. On the plus side, however, the staffs were very good-looking. Every cloud, as they say”, quipped Penny.

You can walk to the Beverly Centre in approximately 15 minutes.

The final word?

“This is certainly a nice property for the right client”, says Penny.

Kimpton La Peer Hotel features 105 luxury guestrooms and suites, a lounge-side pool, rooftop event space and more than 8,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor dining and lounge spaces. Read More
