Changing Car Tyres: Check How the Professionals Change Car Tyres

In the earlier times, people used to change car tyres manually. Some still might but this laborious process has been semi-automated for a long time. Here's how professional tyre mechanics change a car tyre, using a tyre machine.

Steps of changing car tyres

· As the car tyre to be changed will possibly have been in service for a long time, it'll be reluctant to detach from its wheel. The beads, where they grip the wheel will be inflexibly stuck and this is where the tyre machine's first weapon comes into play. After unbolting and taking away the valve to let the air out of the tyre, the mechanic will position the wheel in the maws of the bead breaker. · Then, the fitter will lay the wheel uniform on the tyre machine, bracing it into place. Since wheels - mainly alloy ones - are both delicate and costly, the kit is designed to not touch the wheel rims straight. Having opened the upper bead upwards over the wheel rim, the fitter will involve the bent head of the tyre machine underneath the bead. One more pedal press sets the machine revolving, to skin the car tyre off the upper rim. Repeating this procedure for the lower bead splits the old tyre from the wheel.

· The old valve body is sawn off inside the wheel and if it comes to it, the internal faces of the wheel rims are washed. The old wheel corresponding weights are removed. Having towed a new valve into place with a distinctive tool, the fitter will coat the wheel rims and the new fangled tyre's beads with a special compound. This is oil that eases the fitting procedure though at times, a material with fastening properties may be necessary.

· The one before the last stage of car tyre fitting is really the opposite of the removal of the old tyre. The fitter uses the tyre machine to force the different tyre on to the wheel, bead by bead. Lastly, a dense air line is used to fill the tyre, till its beads pop outwards to seal against the internal faces of the wheel rim. During the course of the process, the tyre fitter has done the controlling, whereas electricity and compressed air have done the substantial work.

· This leaves just the wheel balancing. The mechanic will have already placed the car tyre correctly for the wheel, using a colored dot marks on the tyre. But, balance weights are required and there's a machine to aid with this job. The tyre fitter will fix the wheel against the machine. When the guard is locked and the machine starts, it will take the wheel up to a stable speed, usually about 200 revolutions per minute.

Using its involved sensors and electronics, the assessment machine points out where the wheel weights should be fixed and how much they should balance. Having fitted the weights - clamp-on as applicable - the fitter will run the machine again, fine-tuning the balance with other weights if required.
