Cancer is when abnormal or uncommon cells divide in an unlimited way and destroy body tissue. Some cancers may sometimes spread into other tissues. There are more than 200 types of cancer. Cancer begins when gene changes make one cell or few cells to grow and multiply uncontrollably. This causes a swelling called a tumor. A primary tumor is the name given when cancer begins. Cancer can periodically spread to other parts of the body—this is called a metastasis or a secondary tumor. Cancer and its treatment can influence body systems, such as lymphatic and immune systems, blood circulation and the hormone system. Most cancers begin due to gene changes that occur over a person’s lifetime.

5 Commonest Cancers in Men

1. Skin Cancer

Cells don’t act as normal. They keep on increasing even when there isn’t any need and will develop a tumor. If a malignant tumor isn’t treated, it will influence how the skin works.

2. Prostate Cancer

The prostate gland is found only in men. It is a small gland about the size of a walnut. It rests at the base of the bladder and in front of the rectum. The tube that unloads urine from the bladder runs down through the middle of the prostate gland, allowing the urine to flow out of the body via penis.

3. Testicular Cancer

The testicles are also termed as the testes. They are a portion of the reproductive system in men. There are two little egg-shaped organs found below the penis in a pouch of skin called the scrotum. The testes lie outside the body because they require being at a lower temperature than the body so that they can make sperm. When a man reaches puberty, his testicles begin to produce sperms. Sperms are required to fertilize a female egg after sex to develop a fetus.
The testicles also generate hormone called testosterone. This hormone is accountable for male qualities including a deep voice, strong muscles, and facial hair. It also offers a sex drive and the ability to have an erection. Testicular cancers are the germ cell tumors. And germ cells are those particular cells that are required for reproduction.

4. Bowel (Colon And Rectum) Cancer

Colon cancer occurs when cells in the gut change and begin to grow rapidly. They may form a tumor. A malignant tumor is also known as cancer. If a malignant tumor isn’t treated, it will influence how the bowel works. Most colon cancers happen to be in the large intestine. Bowel cancer is also known as cancer of the colon and rectum or as colorectal cancer.

5. Lung Cancer

When cancer grows in the lungs, the cells change and develop in an uncommon way. Many lung cancers start in the wall of bronchi. As cancer develops, it forms a collection of cells called as a tumor. This tumor can then create a blockage and produce symptoms, for example, difficulty in breathing.
