HOW TO CHOOSE A QUALITY T-SHIRT?

A QUALITY T-SHIRT, CONCRETELY, WHAT IS IT?

Before sniffing the seams of a t-shirt in the shop, it is important to focus on what you are looking for in a t-shirt:

• Are you looking for a piece with the most durable material possible?

• Are you looking for a t-shirt with a unique knit, loaded with charm and character?

The t-shirt is a base-layer. Finding a durable piece is important because it will be part of your wardrobe clothes that will be washed most frequently. Regular washing cycles that will not do the best for its finish, the shape of his collar, or the depth of its hue.

A poor quality t-shirt will be made of fibers for which very little production effort will have been provided. They will, therefore, be mainly short, not very resistant to friction, and sometimes partly damaged. Not to mention the dyeing or printing of motifs that will have been made cheaply. His use and upkeep will therefore quickly overcome him.

But the reciprocal is not necessarily true: a high-quality, expensive t-shirt, whose work requires meticulous work of spinning and knitting in order to obtain a unique roughness, will not necessarily be the most durable option.

WHAT REFLEXES TO RECOGNIZE A QUALITY T-SHIRT?

To estimate the quality of a t-shirt,  let's now look at some elements that you can control in the shop.

OVERCASTING

You can start by observing the overcasting of the t-shirt: it is the seam at the edges of the piece that prevents it from tapering to the places where the fabric was cut.

THE CLEANLINESS BAND

Second, make sure there is a clean band. Which must be well plated, regular, and have a rendering ... clean.

It can even be found at the shoulders, which is rarer and a sign of exceptional attention to your t-shirt. However, it is far from essential here, since the perceived difference in comfort is often barely perceptible.
