Brick Vents How are They Advantageous

These openings allow the water to drain out through the bottom areas of the wall.  Weep holes are generally made by spacing apart the 3^rd and 4^th brick at the bottom of the wall. These openings are generally 3/8” openings though they can vary according to the local building codes.  Brick Vents are available in varieties of types and they are easy to install. They have become popular choice for many types of walls. Brick works are still preferred by many for their aesthetic appeal. If they are not maintained properly and if right kind of ventilation system is not installed in these structures then their appeal would reduce over a period of time and the structure will not remain a hygienic one for the occupants. Excess moisture trapped inside the building is the main cause for varieties of chronic diseases like asthma, allergy, skin disease and others.
