BPSSC ESI Recruitment 2019 212 Posts of Enforcement SI in Bihar Police

Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) notified an advertisement for 212 Enforcement Sub Inspector (ESI) (Pravartan Avar Nirikshak) posts. This is Advt no. 02/2019 of BPSSC for 212 ESI posts to be filled in Transport Department. Eligible candidates can submit online forms from 03 December 2019 to 06 January 2020. Selection of candidates in this BPSSC ESI Vacancy is to be done through Preliminary and Main exams followed by Physical test and interview. Age as on 01 August 2019: The age of General & EWS category candidates should be between 21 to 42 years. Age of Backword and Extremely backword class candidates and Female of General / BC & EBC should be in between 21 to 45 years. Scheduled castes and Scheduled tribes male and female candidates age should be between 21 to 47 years. More info on age is mentioned in advt at below link.

Educational Qualifications of BPSSC Enforcement SI Recruitment 2019:

The candidates should have valid graduation degree from a recognized university or equivalent course.

Also there are some physical requirements which are given as follows.

Physical Efficiency test:

Minimum Height: Male candidate’s height should be 165 cms while Female height should be 150 cms.

Minimum Chest: Male candidates should have 79 cms chest without expansion. Upon expansion, chest should be 84 cms.

There is also a walking test. Male candidates should be able to walk 25 kilometers in 4 hours time. While Female candidates have to walk 14 kilometers in 4 hours.

Selection process: There are four stages of recruitment. First candidates have to appear for Preliminary exam which is of 200 marks. There will be 100 objective questions that will be asked in Prelims each of 2 marks. The total time given for Pre exam is 2 hours. Questions in this Preliminary exam will be asked from General Knowledge and Current Affairs. Those who got less than 30% marks in Pre will not be allowed for Main exam. In Main exam, there will be two papers each of 200 marks and having 100 questions. Duration of both papers will be 2 hours each. First paper of Mains will be of General Hindi while 2nd paper will have questions from General Studies, General Science, Civics, History, Geography, Math and General Ability. Each question will have 0.2 negative marks if wrong answer is provided. Those who qualify both Pre and Main exam have to appear for Physical efficiency test which is of qualifying nature. All these stages qualified candidates have to appear for interview in last round which carry 30 marks. In interview, their Personality, Subject knowledge, Current affairs etc. will be checked.
