Some will tell you that there is nothing such as best program of workout for women but the truth is that what works well for one person may not be so to another.

In fact, you may get surprised to find that a workout program which is alleged to have worked so well for one person terribly failed in another. According to experienced fitness experts, a good workout program is one which helps you do the following-

Help you realize your goals:

What are your workout goals? Do you want to lose weight, get lean body, build muscle mass or get an athlete body? The first step in setting up a workout program should include setting of goals. If the workout program can help you realize those goals then it is a good workout program.

Have measurable results:

Even a beginner workout program for women must have measurable results in the form of SMART meaning Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time-bound. With these goals, you will be able to evaluate your progress by day, by week, by month and so on and check whether you are making good progress.

Progressively increase the intensity of workouts

The objective of working out is to train your body to be able to handle bigger challenges. As your body gets subjected to gradually increasing intensity levels of exercises. When the body is given stimulus which crosses level it has been used to, it will adapt to that stimulus and you will be able to perform the exercise better the following time. This is the way in which our bodies are programmed to work. Gradually, you can train your body to do things it could not manage initially.

Minimize injury chances:

A workout program should be structured such that it minimizes the chances of injury by encouraging period of rest in between workouts. There should be at least two days of rest every week.
