In the end, lightly massage the scalp with slightly circular motions to stimulate blood circulation while letting the oil be absorbed. These will cool down the head and release the glut doshas.

According to Ayurveda, there are three doshas that are life-giving energies that flow through all humans. For Vata-dominant hair, almond oil or sesame oil would be very nourishing and helpful in reducing stiffness in the scalp. For Pitta-dominant, coconut oil is the ideal choice as coconut’s pitta-pacifying properties. In the case of Kapha-dominant, sesame or olive oil are best. And for dandruff, a bi-weekly oil-and-wash session with neem oil does wonders.

An excess of any single from Vata, Pitta, and Kapha throws the entire body’s functioning imbalanced. Its consequences can be observed the way it affects hairs.

On the basis of market surveys carried out on herbal hair oils claimed clues for selection of drugs for hair oil. Hence the present studies are aimed to evaluate the hair growth activity of herbal formulations, which includes oil extract of all mentioned above in various forms.
