Banking Examinations – The Changes that have made Their way

by ICRI India Reviews Institute of Clinical Research India

In this changing scenario of the world, the society has become a lot more competitive. There is neck to neck competition going on to secure the few available valuable resources in the society. In the face of all these changes, the competitive exams that help in the selection of the best candidates for these resources are getting tough each day. The banking examination is much in demand and is one of the toughest of competitive examinations. But keeping in view the few availability of resources, many changes has occurred in the examination so as to select the best deserving candidates.

The English language and comprehension section of the banking exams has seen the vast amount of change. One now needs to have proficiency over the English language in order to achieve the clear sectional cut off marks required to pass the examination. The English language and comprehension section now has got phrase completion questions, paragraph completion questions. Apart from these the difficulty level of questions from Reading Comprehension, para jumbling also have seen a lot of change in the difficulty level. In case of vocabulary questions, the synonym or the antonym of the word is being asked separately these days and this creates a lot of problems for the aspirants to locate and contextualize a word. Apart from this, the para jumbling questions have also become more on the lines of management aptitude tests. The filler questions have also changed their pattern in the recent banking examinations.

Though there have yet not been many changes in the quantitative aptitude section, but level of difficulty has increased to great extent. The section on computer awareness has seen a rise in difficulty of questions and hence the aspirant needs to study a lot to clear this section. Computer awareness is very important from the exam point of view because you do not need to devote much time in this section and with a little bit preparation, you can score well in this section.

However with constant practice and with a tight hold on the basics it would not be that difficult to get flying marks even in the changed pattern of the banking examinations.
