Augine Land

by Arthur Webster Just plain honesty

I have looked at this strange phenomenon. It seems to be a remarkably simple game but I have to wonder at the mentality of the site owners.

At one point the following appears on the web site as an answer to Augine land depreciation .  "All lands will depreciate by 1% everyday. For example, a land that is valued at AG$20.00 today will be worth AG$19.50 the next day, and $19.25 the day after that, and so on."

The last time I looked, 1% of 20 was 0.20 - Not 0.50 and not 0.25.

If simple arithmetic is beyond the site owners, what else have they got wrong - especially when it comes to accumulating and spending the cyber currency (AG$)?

If you went to a shop and received the wrong prices and the wrong change - would you remain a customer?

While I do not want to rain on anybody's parade, I do believe that anything that sets itself up to be a game about the buying, renting and selling of space within a website should, at the very least, not make such VERY BASIC ERRORS!

What else have they got wrong?

Thanks for letting me know this, Radek. What a great pity that they are so careless with the parts of their web site that are of vital importance to members. Maybe they will put it right?
