by King Edwardies Traveling

If you’re planning to travel to Lagos, one of the most heavily populated cities in Nigeria and one of the fastest growing cities in Africa, air travel is the most appropriate method of getting to that city whether you’re flying for business, leisure purposes or any other purpose as air travel happens to be the fastest.

Almost all airlines fly to Lagos, for example, Arik Air, Africa World Airlines and Ethiopian Airlines native to Africa. From International airlines, you have Emirates which flies from Dubai, Etihad flying from Abu Dhabi, Air France, Delta, KLM, Turkish Airways, American Airlines, Kenya Airways, Qatar Airways, and many more.

You might find cheaper tickets during the off season which is usually from February-April and August to November. During the summer months (May-July) and winter months (December-February) the ticket fares for most airlines are quite steep.

The travel time it takes to reach Lagos from a specific country depending on where you live or which country you’re traveling to Lagos from. For example, from Dubai it usually takes 7 hours and 50 minutes. Secondly, air travel today has become very comfortable. All airlines offer comfortable seats which recline a little bit as well. And also offer tasty complimentary food. The comforts in Business class and First class are obviously greater than those of economy class. If you have some extra money to spend I suggest you travel from business class to Lagos, especially if you’re traveling from America, as the time it takes to get to Lagos is, 15 hours and some minutes. From Europe it is generally closer for example, from London it takes about 6 -7 hours to reach to Lagos, thus it’s not so bad traveling in economy if the distance is shorter. From Karachi, Pakistan it takes around 9 hours and 16 minutes. You might want to check how long it takes to travel tickets to Lagos from your country, to get a general idea. There are many sites available on the internet which helps you do just that.

If you’re looking for cheap flights to Lagos, you can find some great deals online especially during the off season where most of the airfare prices are on discount. Generally, an average ticket from London to Lagos would cost you around £724 and during the off season, the prices drop to around £170.  However, it also depends on the airline you choose to travel with. For example, a flight from london to Lagos costs around Rs. 83,000 from Turkish Airlines and Rs. 115,673 from Emirates. To find out how much a ticket costs in your currency you’ll either need to ask a travel agent or check on the internet.
