Are Cannabis Resins A Good Idea?

by Jill Ross Marketer

One who loves the beauty, the flavor, and the freshness of the cannabis plant, will definitely love the resin.

Cannabis has been rapidly accepted by people and legalized in many parts of the United States. One only needs a recommendation from Palmdale 420 doctor to get their medical cannabis.

Have you ever thought about what that sticky substance is on the cannabis plant? That is resin, a substance with lots of benefits! We all are familiar with cannabis and it uses, but what about cannabis resins?

Let us explore more about cannabis resins!

What is Cannabis Resin?

These are the natural substances produced in the trichomes of a cannabis plant. They are a byproduct of smoking cannabis which you may find inside your smoking tools! People using cannabis for years know what we are talking about! However, yet there are some things they are unaware of!

This naturally occurring substance contains many cannabinoids of cannabis like tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), a psychoactive compound that is responsible to give you a high!

Resins are generally to sway the pests. They have a trace of bitterness and contain certain terpenes that keep the pests away from destroying the cannabis plant.

*Ever noticed tiny sticky hairs on cannabis plants? These are trichomes that are held together with resin. Trichomes are basically exterior growths on the cannabis plant to protect from all sorts of dangers like pests, fungus, and UV rays.

Does Cannabis Resin make you high?

The answer to this question is a bit tricky. As you take up different cannabis and experience different effects with each. Similarly, every distinct resin brings a different effect on the consumer. Let us find out what!

Rosin and Hash highs

Rosin and Hash are extracted directly from the cannabis plant and hence by default only found in cannabis flowers. Therefore, they are bound to contain more THC compared to others once they are processed into specific products.

Undoubtedly, vaping or smoking rosin and hash will induce more high!

Reclaimed Resin

These are the leftover resins in the cannabis smoking tools found after smoking. It will not have too much of THC as that of hash and rosin. Also, it is not considered pure substance as the other concentrated products as they are unfiltered with other harmful byproducts from smoking.

Well, you will get high from reclaimed resins but the high will be weaker than the concentrated-cannabis induced high.

When to visit a doctor?

It is advised to not smoke the reclaimed resin as it contains the harmful smoking byproducts. Hence, it poses the potential of some dangerous adverse effects. You are recommended to visit a doctor when you see the following symptoms.

Severe headaches, difficulty breathing or sore throat

As reclaimed resins contain harmful byproducts, it is natural for cannabis users smoking leftover resin to face some throat issues or lung problems. If you ever feel that you developed a severe and frequent headache, lung irritation, or sore throat, it is time to schedule an appointment with your doctor!

Depression or increased anxiety

Cannabis, in some cases, can lead to depression or anxiety. Some individuals also develop psychosis because of smoking reclaimed resins. If you feel an escalated anxiety, then you should book an appointment with your doctor.

Final thoughts

Cannabis and its effects can be enjoyed in so many ways. But, resins are a big “No” and questionable stuff to a lot of cannabis users. Moreover, most cannabis professionals say that smoking resin should be out of the option. They can really irritate the lungs and throat. Thus, it is better to dispose of to avoid any negative effects. Just start fresh the next time you sit to smoke.

Crapola. Dope is dope. I live in physical pain everyday but would never resort to being a pothead. It’s a matter of ethics
