Metro Rail at Dholera: 


The government is planning to establish a metro route between Ahmedabad and Dholera, covering Gandhinagar also. The purpose of the project is to provide a better and faster transport system. 


The project will be completed in two phases. The first phase will cover Ahmedabad to Gandhinagar route and the second phase will cover Gandhinagar to Dholera smart city route. The Project has a total worth of 10,773 crores and has a capacity for the transit of 80,000 passengers daily (40,000 from each side). 


Because this project has a long gestation period so the Government is taking keen interest and the development rate is excellent and expected to be completed by the end of 2031.
