Amrita University 2014 Exam

Amrita University will conduct the AUEEE 2014 for admissions into engineering undergraduate courses for session 2014-15. The entrance exam will be held on 13 April 2014. Based on the score obtained in the entrance examination, candidates will be allotted seats in any of the three campus situated at Bangalore, Coimbatore and Amritapuri as well as colleges affiliated to the university.

Eligibility Criteria

· Candidates must be born on or after July 1993.

· Minimum aggregate in class XII in PCM stream is 55%. Candidate must also score 60% individually in these subjects.

· Candidate with diploma from a state or central recognized institute is eligible as well with minimum aggregate 60%.

Application Form

· The Application form can be filled from 16 December 2013 to 24 March 2014.

· Sale of the form ends on 21 March 2014.

· The modes to obtain the application form are given below:

· Post:

· Send a request letter along with demand draft of Rs.1000 to Amrita University. On the back of draft, mention address, name and phone number. On the top of the envelope, write “B.Tech. Application”. Preserve two copies of the demand draft and the request letter.

· In person:

Buy the application form via university counter of Amrita School of Engineering after depositing Rs.1000.

· Sale centers:

From designated post offices and bank branches as sale centers.

· Online

Fill the application form on the official website of Amrita University. Download the filled form, take its printout and send to the following address along with a demand draft of Rs.1000

Exam Pattern

· Duration of the exam is three hours.

· Language of the paper is English.

· Questions would be from Physics, Chemistry and Math.

· Nature of the paper is objective type, multiple choice questions.

· Total number of questions is 120

· Net marks is 360

· -1 mark for every wrong answer.

· 3 marks for correct answer.

· Math – 50 questions, Physics – 35, Chemistry – 35

Counselling

Candidates would be able to make choices of campus and other affiliated colleges based on their priority. On the basis of choices made, result of the candidate, availability of seats and reservation, seats would be allotted. Candidate would be sent a call letter if they are selected for counselling process. While coming for the counselling, candidates have to bring all the necessary and relevant certificates.
