All You Need To Know About Silhouette Soft Thread Lift

What is Silhouette Soft?

Silhouette Soft Thread Lift treatment is an anti-aging treatment that instantly lifts saggy skin. At the same time, the threads are able to stimulate collagen production in the skin to provide a rejuvenative, yet natural result several months after the treatment.

Commonly known as ‘one-stitch facelift’ or ‘lunchtime facelift’, Silhouette Soft uses a specialized bio-absorbable sutures made of polylactic acid (PLA). PLA is a unique material that has been used for several years in many biomedical and pharmaceutical applications. It is compatible with the human body and is widely used by surgeons for the surgical sutures and orthopaedic devices.

How Does Silhouette Soft Work?

Silhouette Soft threads are the only sutures with bidirectional cones that offer patients minimally invasive facelift option to the more invasive surgery.

What Is the Process?

To prepare you for this minimally-invasive treatment, the doctor will administer some pain relief medication so that the procedure will be more comfortable. Medicine such as local anaesthesia and oral sedatives may be administered. The doctor usually has a consult with the patient before the treatment to understand the pain threshold of the patient so as to make the treatment comfortable for the patient.

After making the first insertion to the skin, the doctor applies slight pressure on the treated area to guide the threads and reshape the face on sagging areas and loose skin to achieve the immediate lift.

Side Effects of Silhouette Soft Thread Lift

It is very common to experience slight bruising and tightness 3 to 5 days after the treatment. However, these side effects should not last longer than 5 days.

Following the treatment, the patient should avoid any dental surgery and rigorous physical activities. It is also recommended that the patient sleep on their back for the 1-2 weeks to allow the swelling to subside and avoid the unlikely event of misalignment of the Silhouette Soft threads.
