All You Need to Know About Central Square Foundation

by Ratul Puri Marketing Consultant
Central Square Foundation is a non-profit foundation that strives to make quality education available for all the children of India. This philanthropic foundation was by Ashish Dhawan, an MBA holder from Harvard in 2012. Since then, the education research foundation has organized several programmes in the country to bring changes to its conventional education system and to develop foundational literacy.

To reach its objective of improving the literacy percentage of India, CSF partners with the government, individuals, and several other organizations as this huge task cannot be accomplished single-handedly. According to CSF, the issues that are pulling India back from outshining other countries in terms of school education are lack of proper governance, the approach of educators, functioning of school system, and the inability of EdTech to reach rural parts of the country.

In order to provide high-quality education for children from all backgrounds one must sort out all these issues and the following are the steps taken by CSF to do so:

Research
Any problem that needs a solution must be first researched thoroughly as a solution can only be reached after knowing about the cause of the problem. CSF does research almost daily on the past, present, and even the future education plans and reforms of the country with the help of government officials, volunteers, fellow education research organizations and its own team. In this way, they are illuminated about what works and what does not work in the education ecosystem and then come up with an efficient solution.

Partnering with the Government
CSF partners with both the Central and State Governments and organizes several programmes and courses to develop the quality of education provided. Some of the programmes conducted by them partnering with the government include Adarsh Yojana Programme: Rajasthan, EdTech Vision Workshop: Andhra Pradesh, and Consultation of New Educational Policy which was a nation wide programme.

EdMonitior
The EdMonitor is a weekly edition by CSF that will have information about the most recent reforms and plans to improve primary and secondary education in India. This weekly edition will enlighten its readers about development policies, research results, news, vacancies, and events in the education ecosystem.
