All milk manufacturers in the country have the best milk in India, how?
by Khevna M. KhevnaOne of the most popular drinks across the world is
cow’s milk. Numerous benefits are said to be associated with the consumption of
cow’s milk. As human beings, we depend on various sources of food to satisfy
our body’s nutrition needs. Human bodies need balanced nutrition for healthy
development and well being.
Cow’s milk is said to be one of the best immunity-booster
foods for the human body. It helps in nourishing the tissues and cells of the
body. Nutrients in the milk of a cow help improve the intelligence and strength
of individuals. It is said to aid digestion, assist in alleviating diabetes,
cholesterol and high blood pressure. It contains omega 3 fat which is said to be
great for helping in cognitive development of human beings, including hand eye
co-ordination, improving social skills, attention and intelligence. Milk also contains
nutrients such as Vitamin B 12, Vitamin B 2, Iodine, Phosphorous, Calcium,
Panthothenic Acid, Selenium, Protein, Biotin, Vitamin A. Cow’s milk is said to
be a great source of calcium and is recommended in cases of bone, tissue and
other such issues. It is advised to people as they grow old since old age is
often accompanied by weak bones and teeth. It is a stage where people require
loads of calcium supplements in their body. Every other milk brand in India,
now claims to be producing the best milk
in India. However, as intelligent consumers it is essential to check any
product thoroughly before purchase, especially when it comes to milk – it is
one of the most adulterated products in the country.
Many milk manufacturers across the country resort to
unhealthy practices such as administration of oxytocin hormones into the bodies
of the cows so as to increase the milk supply in the cows. This practice has
far reaching health effects on cows as well as on the individuals consuming
such milk. It is therefore important to consume country fresh milk, where the cows are fed and taken care of with
organic fodder, fresh grass and healthy practices. Very rarely do we have
traditional back yard agriculture and farming these days. Most of the milk
manufacturers follow intensive dairy farming practices where cows are often
made to live in cramped spaces and inorganic feeds and other such practices.
Milk manufacturers these days
have deviated from ethical practices and the love for animals that people in
the earlier days used to have. Most of the manufacturers only want to maximize
profits and do not care about the animals or the consumers. However, as
consumers, consuming the best cow milk is
essential and it becomes our responsibility then to check the credibility and
practices of the company manufacturing the products that we consume. Before you
drink that glass of milk, do check what is behind the glass of milk –
that glass of milk is your way
to good or bad health.
