Aligning Your Business Goals with Managed Cloud Services

by Beth S. Freelance Writer

For business organisations wanting to stay relevant in today’s competitive market, they need to evolve and quickly adapt to the latest technologies. These have shaped the way we deal with our customers, sell our goods, and plan our strategies which only show that technology is a powerful force to be reckoned with.

So since the majority of us are using IT cloud services, it’s only necessary to create an alignment between these services and our core business objectives. The effective use of technology can bring henceforward, calculated decisions to further increase ROI and earn our place amongst the leading businesses in Singapore.

What would it mean to align business goals with cloud services?

If in fact you were able to align these two, it would simply showcase a positive correlation between the aforementioned services and measures of financial performance. As any business organisation would normally do, you’ll have to check whether or not the financial results are in your favour. Moreover, you’re also producing value that is totes measurable.

An IT expert would have to evaluate the business organisation.

Before it could even begin to take place, the IT expert would first assess if doing the alignment is possible or practical. The expert should be able to draw a connection between the commitments of the organisation and the projects which are deemed to be worthy of investment. If a connection is found between the two, it could only mean one thing—that the projects are worthwhile and that they have benefits which can hopefully be reaped in the near future or so.

Meanwhile, it’s also important to consider the effectiveness of IT cloud services as it should also boost the productivity of an organisation. After the evaluation, the IT expert must come up with solutions to the problems that were witnessed and therefore understood.

The alignment of cloud services to a business plan should be able to show improvements.

These services are cost-effective per se, which makes them highly advisable for small to large businesses wanting to integrate improvements in their system. The proposal for this one should include the following details:

        Financial budget

        Return of investments (ROIs)

        Risks involved with the venture

        Changes in the workplace

The alignment should be up to date with current technology.

As technology continues to transform and innovate, so will your business but in a more gradual manner. Quite frankly, nothing will ever be the same a few years from now and so will project proposals and budget for the IT services you would want to integrate with your business processes. The key to surviving the whirlwind of technology is to be as versatile as possible—always open for change and never closing one’s door to new opportunities.

In the end, all that’s left is to face the obstacles up ahead. Always keep in mind the purpose of aligning your goals with the cloud. Plan it out, consider the benefits and risks involved, then see how these things turn out to be. Are you ready for it? We sure are!
