Acquire concord via exploring – remarkable locations

by Daniel A. Traveller

The Changu lake is a freezing lake within the Sikkim (eastern part), India, It’s literally acknowledged as the "foundation of the lake” in their particular language. Merely around 40 km from the Gangtok, this tranquil lake is located at an elevation of 3,780 meters on older trade route amongst Gangtok - Nathula Pass. This docile lake remains ice-covered during the months of winter until May. Also, it’s a perfect home for pandas along with numerous types of birds. The lake is deliberated as sacred by the people residing over there. A beautiful, little temple is made over the side of the lake that is of Lord Siva.

As a conflict broke out amongst India & China during 1962, the Indian and China border next to Nathula pass was comparatively quiet. Well, now the Indian people need a legitimate Protected Area consent to visit the Nathula. A Permit is made to issue by only the Sikkim Tour Department within Gangtok. It can be made available through a particular registered tourism agency otherwise by a hotel to acquire it. It must be applied for the consent before the visit is planned. And the foreign travellers are not at all allowed here. Since, due to the high elevation at Nathula, the level of the oxygen within the air is pretty low. Few no. of (adults otherwise children) can have breathing difficulties at Nathula. In the case of having breathing or further health problems, consultation with a doctor should be made before visiting.

Vehicles just from the Sikkim government,  i.e. approved tourism operators are permitted for Nathula. Since the roads are not that good. Simply Jeep otherwise SUV kind vehicles are taken to move towards Nathula. Sometimes because of snow, landslides & other road circumstances, traffic contract held up for the hours over this route. From Gangtok several vehicles are available. It requires a complete day from Gangtok for visiting Nathula. Usually, it’s combined with visits to Changu Lake as well as Baba Mandir.

The Gangtok and Nathula Highway evade the Changu Lake & reach to the Baba Mandir as well as Nathula Point via the Serathang. During January to May, it’s great to visit the Changu Lake along with between May to October Nathula pass is amazing to look out.

As these places have their own beautiful aspects and various cultural events also do occur in their particular season. Sikkim tourism acts as one of the splendid ones and it is quite affordable as well. So it would be magnificent to go for these locations and gain amazing fun.
