A Weekend trip to the Niagara Fallsby Natasha Manual Social Worker
The very mention of the word Niagara Falls brings a sense of excitement in us. Located in Ontario, the weekend is a great time to head to the Niagara Falls and explore them from every side and angle. There are a lot of additional entertainment venues that are active and happening around the falls too.
Where to Stay
Just a few yards from the Niagara Falls you can find the Marriott. You may land some great vacation deals that may get you cheap bookings. The rooms have oversized windows that provide a panoramic view of the falls. Family suites are also available. You can take advantage of all the facilities offered by the hotel: restaurant, spa, and gym while simultaneously enjoying the sights. Other places where you can stay include Skyline Inn and Sterling Inn and Spa.
Where Should You Eat
The Skylon Tower Observation Deck is a place where you can have your food in a revolving restaurant that offers differing visages of the Niagara Falls. Visitors can reach the Skylon Tower by boarding a glass elevator and going up 775 feet into the air. Dinner rates are on the expensive side but include the observation deck charges. The best holiday packages may be available for early bird rates between 4.30 and 5 pm seating. This gives good value for money. Dinner later in the evening allows you to view the falls with illumination and this is indeed a great sight.
Elements on the Falls is a restaurant that brings you food with the surrounding natural beauty. The kitchen has an open-fire grill. Food is served along with wine from the Niagara vineyards. Paris Crepes Bistro I yet another restaurant that serves you excellent creamy hot chocolate and everything French including ratatouille and beef bourguignon.
What to do and See
The Niagara cruise is a great way to see the falls. With a spot on the upper deck, you will be at just about the best spot to see the falls from close quarters. However, you are likely to get wet as you pass by the falls. The boat goes into the heart of the gorge and offers a view of the Bridal Veil and Canadian Horseshoe Falls. There is a boat ride approximately once in every 20 minutes daily (during spring to late fall).
You can also take a trip in the cable cars to have an aerial view of the waterfalls. The cable cars take the visitors across the river and you can get to see the Niagara whirlpool. This ride is of a duration of 10 minutes and gets your adrenaline pumping. You would feel completely satisfied at having used the Niagara Falls vacation packages this holiday season after this aero trip.
The Canadian side of the Niagara offers comprehensive views of the falls and there are a lot of other entertainment options that can keep you engaged for the weekend.
