One lazy evening, I was sipping on a cup of coffee at home when my friend came over with a very serious look on his face. I started rolling with laughter when, upon enquiring, he let me know that he was actually worried about the Valentine’s day date. The problem, however, was real. He had to work late on Valentine’s and could only take out only some two to three hours for a date in the middle of the day.

I asked him whether he would like to go to a movie or some restaurant. “I would prefer some café places near me.” Since his workplace was at Connaught place, we decided to start searching online for a cafe for couples in CP. We came across this interesting cake bakery in Connaught Place called Brioche Dorée. It was a new cake and pastry shop that served authentic French food and the menu looked amazing. The interiors looked amazing, the reviews were good too, and most importantly, his girlfriend absolutely loved French food and didn’t eat non-vegetarian. Considering these points, this cake bakery in CP had to be not just the perfect Valentine’s Day date idea, but also an everyday date idea.

The next evening, I decided to try out the place myself. One of the best things about this cake shop at CP was the warm welcome, the quick service and the aroma of French food in the air. The food, they said, was made of French Flour and French Butter. I decided to try out their Classic Croissant - a flaky, buttery piece of heaven! With this, the hunger seemed to get triggered and I ordered a Pizza Puff. Surprise – It was a square, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. Next in line was the Farafalle Pasta Salad, an Italian Farfelle pasta dressed in pesto. It was topped with roasted bellpepper & pinenuts and every bite took me to different memory lanes – flavours so finely defined.

It was time to satisfy my sweet tooth and the reviews told me that the tarts at this particular cake bakery in Connaught Place are a must-taste. So, I went on to order a Blueberry Mascarpone Crumble tart, and I said to myself, “Yes, this is heaven.” To complete it, I ordered a cup of coffee. I had definitely overeaten and decided to take some time to relax and listen to the awesome classics in their playlist.

By the end of the awesome taste-journey, I was absolutely assured that Brioche Dorée will be the perfect Valentine’s day date idea for my friend and his girl. Besides being an awesome cafe for couples in CP, this place also had a wide range of other varieties that I couldn’t try on my first visit. What could be better than a romantic date with great food and good music? I immediately called my friend, told him about my experience, and assured him that his date would definitely go much better than he expected.

After I came back home, I was already craving for some more of the deliciousness. I kept thinking that I must have tried their pastries and the chocolate banana tart. Then, when I was going through their menu once again, I thought to myself that there is always a next time, and that next time will definitely come soon enough.
