A Checklist of What to Pack in a Labour Bag

by Max Taylor Writer
Getting shifted to a hospital in the final days of pregnancy is an exciting moment and at the same time, this moment brings a sense of responsibility in the mother-to-be. She starts feeling her responsibilities and showcases this emotion by packing her labour bag. There are a number of things to be packed and to make sure that nothing is left behind, there is nothing wrong in following a checklist from the Internet like the one that we have presented in this post.

What To Pack In Your Pre Packed Hospital Bag?

Bag of Travel-sized Toiletries

•   This would include the basic things that you would require the very next morning and until the day when you leave the hospital.
•   The top names are toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner and body wash, lotion, contact solution (if needed), deodorant, face wash, etc.
•   These are the things that you will require almost daily, when you are in the hospital or at home and because they are so minor things, they can easily get overlooked.
•   Hence, they have been presented on the top of the list of what to pack in delivery labour bags.

Slippers

•   One thing that should not be ignored at all is the slippers as the floor there might appear clean, but just can show your trust on it and therefore, a must-pack thing in a labour bag is the slippers.
•   In winters, they become the most important thing as the floor would be very cold and not to mention that slippers would be required, whenever you step out of your bed towards the bathroom.

Socks

•   A very common inclusion of pre packed hospital bags is the socks that you should also not forget in case, you are packing your bag on your own.
•   They will definitely keep your feet cosy, soft and comfortable so; don’t feel shy in packing some pairs and of course, woollen ones if you are going to have a child during the winter season.
•   This helps, especially if you don’t want to bring slippers.

Notebook and Pen

•   Delivery of a child is a huge event and before the main day, the doctors and nurses would cater you a vast array of information regarding pregnancy, delivery and post-delivery days.
•   You have two options, either to record them in your mobile and the second is taking a notepad and writing down all the points that you think are important.
•   You can even place your questions before the staff and they will happily answer all your queries that you can note down for future reference.

Folder

•   This folder would come in extremely helpful in managing all the papers that you will get at the hospital and remember, you will start receiving them as soon as you enter the hospital.
•   So, for managing all of them, it is important that your Labour bag has a folder packed at the time of leaving for the hospital.

The fact regarding a labour bag pre packed is that the list of content goes on and on and on so basically, you will have to store everything that would help you enjoy and stay relaxed during your stay. Some other names have listed here. –

•   Outfit to go home in
•   Plastic bag for laundry
•   Nursing pads
•   Nursing bras
•   Lanolin
•   Hair ties
•   Birth plan
