8 Tips for Quality SEO Writing

Writing is a talent. Many are born with this talent, and even more acquire it through practice. SEO writing is a different talent in and of itself.  There can be a struggle to publish something that is truly helpful to the online community and worth sharing between friends and family. In order for this to happen there needs to be genuine valuable content contained in the article or story this will create value centered around which, in turn, will prompt people to share it. Here are some tips to write quality SEO pieces.


Write for Humans, Optimize for Robots 


No one, not even an SEO engine wants to read a piece written for the sole purpose of website ranking. Focus on the people who will be reading the article and try to make it entertaining to them.


Forget About Keyword Percentage 


There is nothing recent that indicates Google favors a certain density over another. It is important to use keywords that are relevant in the article but do not make it sound fake. Keep the flow of the piece in mind and remember whom you are writing for, whether it is people from Utah or another state.


Use Related Keywords and Synonyms 


Google and other search engines will sometimes ask the user if the “meant to type” something else. Using similar words and synonyms in an article or story will make it more likely to pop up higher on Google because of this relationship.


Write Long, Detailed Content 


The best-ranked pieces by Google contain over 2,000 words. Something that is written in-depth is shown to get more shares and likes than something short. Try to write things that are relevant to people inside Utah and out.


Answer Questions 


Most articles and content should be written around answering questions that people are likely to have related to your company. This will draw traffic.

A website does not become viral overnight. There is still work to be put into it after completing writing a piece. It is really important to do the legwork after that and make sure it is shared on all the right platforms.


Good Titles 


It’s important to keep a title catchy and intriguing. This is what will convince people to read it.


Avoid Keyword Stuffing 


Google has made many efforts lately to rule out content made specifically to boost SEO. Try to only use them as they would naturally occur in the piece.
