8 questions you should ask child modelling agencies
by Myron G. Internet Marketing WarriorEverybody knows that child modelling agencies have the knowledge and skills to improve your
child’s modelling career. There is however 8 questions you should ask every
prospective agency.
1)
How does the agency help my child? The person in the agency you have the
discussion with should be able to give you a detailed description of exactly
how the agency works ah how it can help to make your child’s modelling career
easier and better.
2)
How much commission do they charge?
Commission percentages vary from agency to agency. It is important that
the child
modelling agencies you contact do not charge too much commission, as you need
to take travel costs and other requirements into consideration as well. A fair
commission percentage is between 10 and 20%
3)
Do they have talent managers on the staff and will my child have access
to one? A lot of agencies do have talent managers on their staff but it is not
always the case. A talent manager has a lot of industry related expertise and
can help your child to further their career by suggesting additional classes
and possible career moves.
4)
IS the agency able to help you smooth out and understand contracts? The
legal department of some child agencies has a person specifically trained to liaise
with models and clients regarding contracts. The legal liaison or talent
manager will be able to assist you with any contract queries and
misunderstandings.

there that will assist you in preparing your child for the shoot. Some will be
able to lend you additional wardrobe items, while others will give you advice
on how you can prepare your child?

agency and the agency then pay you your part, or if you get paid by the client
and then need to pay the commission to the agency. Pick an option that suits
you best. Going back to the agency after a shoot might mean extra travel costs.
7)
What does the agency do to help me protect my child? Most child modelling
agencies research their potential clients to ensure that they are legit and do
not intend to harm the child or risk their safety. Some agencies even goes as
far as adding a safety clause into the contract with the client.

what additional costs you have to cover, be it classed or portfolio photos or
travel costs. By knowing the additional costs you will be able to determine if
the whole modelling idea can be a viable source of income. The child modelling
agencies should be able to give you a rough estimate of additional costs and
