Necessary information, like name, contact number, address, etc., can be used here. It is essential to know about the crucial data elements that one should have at the executive level.

4.      Use Master Data.

With the help of industry standard reference data, protecting your resources and optimizing the process becomes easy.

5.      Understand the business usage of your data.

Where is the data coming from? Is this a credible source? Who has the authority to edit this? How will this data be useful for the organization? It is crucial to create a chart where the data is coming. This will give you a clear idea as to where the data is being used.

6.     Get the architecture of the data correct.

Once you have a set of definitions and data structure, you should start working to make sure that these definitions have support within the databases which are holding the rest of your company's data.
