But with time, few mind-blowing pieces of research proved CBD’s worth and it started getting the right kind of fame. Today, let us start from the beginning and give you some extra-ordinary CBD facts.

1.    CBD was considered illegal until recently because it belonged to the Cannabis Family:

Using CBD in any kind of product was completely prohibited. The reason behind this ban was the ties of CBD with the Cannabis family. People automatically considered it to have the same kind of adverse effects as other cannabis compounds. One of such compounds is THC, which is the major component in Marijuana. It took a long fight and piles of research to separate CBD from the notorious fame of Marijuana’s THC. People took it hard to believe that CBD can be helpful and have therapeutic benefits. But once, few jumped in and started using it, they loved CBD and never looked back.

2.    CBD will not get you high: It has no psychotic properties:

CBD promises to not alter your mental state at all. Unless you are looking for these kinds of benefits ( We are not judging you at all), CBD will not disappoint you. You can freely go to any drug test after taking CBD products. CBD products have zero to low THC levels. Always look for genuine and authentic CBD products with either zero THC or not more than 0.03% THC. This is the safe amount which can go unnoticed in a drug test and is not able to get you high.

3.    CBD has unbelievable therapeutic benefits:

CBD industry claims that it can help with a lot of medical conditions including cancer, heart diseases and depression. With such high claims, a lot of authentic research is required to back them up. Many big names are investing in this industry to get the cat out of the bag. So that CBD could be used world widely with 100% surety and zero doubts. There are so many illnesses that were considered to be untreatable or hard to treat before CBD jumped in. These ailments include neuropathic, chronic or cancer-related pains, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis (MS), Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson’s disease, Mad Cow disease, Psoriasis, broken bones, rheumatoid arthritis, ADHD, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Schizophrenia, Dyskinesia and multiple heart diseases. CBD also helps naturally with diseases that are too common and are being treated widely such as nausea, anxiety, substance abuse, inflammation, acne, depression, bacterial infections and diabetes.

4.    Humana body has an Endocannabinoid System which response to CBD products:

That’s right. Ever wondered how CBD can bring changes in the health conditions of the user? There must be something inside the human body which works jointly with CBD molecules. When the scientist started thinking on these lines, they began to examine the human body in a new perspective. It turned out that the human body owns a specific Endocannabinoid system itself. The endocannabinoids are cannabinoids that are produced naturally in the human body. This system and its hormones respond to CBD and help it reach the other parts of the body. One such endocannabinoid is Anandamide also known as the bliss molecule. The molecule helps in activating the CB1 receptor. Once activated, this receptor relieves depression and increases myelin formation, BDNF levels and PPARy expression. It also lowers intestinal inflammation, prolactin, blood pressure and anxiety. While reducing the fear, paranoia and GPR55 signalling, it also decreases the intestinal permeability (Leaky Gut Syndrome).

There is an enzyme in the human body which is known as FAAH. It is responsible for breaking down the anandamide. Now, CBD being an inhibitor of FAAH brings more anandamide to the CB1 receptors.

Anandamide has been proved to be helpful in stopping the spread of breast cancer cells. It also promotes anti-anxiety and antidepressant effect. While increasing neurogenesis, Anandamide plays a crucial role in remembering and forgetting stuff. With a strong effect on memory, it serves as a strong positive candidate for people with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

5.    CBD is not just for you:

CBD might be more beneficial than you thought. It might not just be good for you but also for your pets. Your pet might benefit more from CBD than you. You can confirm this fact with your vet to be sure and bring home the right CBD tinctures for your pup. There are many CBD products specifically made for pets like dogs, cats and horses, including CBD capsules and pet treats. Or you can simply use CBD in its natural form i.e. CBD oil. CBD can help greatly in relieving hip and joint pain, depression, anxiety and seizures in pets.

You cannot feel a one eighty degrees change overnight. Hence, it is highly recommended to wait a few days before making the final call about CBD products. The effects might come slowly and gradually but they will be long-lasting. Remember that CBD oil in the form of tinctures or vaping might bring fast relief to pain and inflammation. But for serious illnesses, it is recommended to follow doctor’s advice and use the recommended CBD products. You probably need to try a few products before one finally starts making a change in your body. This too will take a few days or weeks in some cases.
