5 Ways to Tell You’re Wearing the Wrong Bra Size

by Le Bustiere Boutique Lingerie Shopping in Washington DC

Buying a bra can be a simple and enjoyable experience if you know what to look for. We are here to provide you with a simple guide to help you choose the right bra. First and foremost, you need to get the right size. Research shows that 80% of women all over wear the wrong size of bra.

Some women have been wearing the wrong size of bra for so many years that it’s hard to convince them that they are part of this statistic. As your body changes, so should your bra size. We encourage you to keep an open mind and watch out for the following signs the next time you buy a bra.

  1. Side boobs

One common sign that your bra is not the right size is when your breasts start to fall out on the sides of the cups. This is a clear indication that the bra you’re wearing has a cup size that is too small for you. It could also mean that the bra has too much padding, especially if you have a fuller bust.

  1. Under boobs

Have you ever worn a bra only to realize that your breasts start to show below the cups? This especially happens when you try to adjust the straps and notice the bra rises up. You can try loosening the straps or looking for a bra with the right band size. If the band size is too big, the bra won’t fit properly below the breasts.

  1. The back of the bra is higher than your natural bust line

When you buy bras, make sure the back is not higher than your natural bust line. This is usually an indication that the bra has a very small band size. If the band size is too small, the back of the bra will be higher than your natural bust line and you wouldn’t be able to wear certain tops without it showing.

  1. Baggy cups

This normally happens when you buy a bra that has very large cups. If the cup size is larger than what fits you, there will be a lot of room in the cups and the bra will appear baggy. This type of bra will not flaunt your tops well.

  1. Double boobs

If you wear a bra that has a cup size that’s too small, the breasts will appear mushy and create a double boob. You need to buy lingerie with the right cup size to avoid this issue.
