4.Flexible: Distance education is much more flexible in its approach and methodologies. The student is not required to attend classes, although certain universities/institutes are offering evening or weekend classes, but often they aren’t compulsory or can be attended after office hours. Also, in distance learning student has the option of posting or emailing his/her assignments and there is sometimes even an option of ‘on-demand’ exams, where the student can pick his/her own date and time of the exam from the slots offered.

5.Similar options like regular courses:Most universities/institutes offering distance education programmes follow the same syllabus as their regular courses. They provide their students with similar books and suggest same reference material as they suggest their regular students.
