It is an iconic landmark in Haiti and is appreciated for playing a significant role in shaping the country’s history.

The Sans Souci Palace


The Sans Souci Palace is located in Milot, Nord, northeast of Citadelle Laferriere. The Sans Souci Palace is notable for having a rich history of serving as a residential of King Henri I of Haiti. It was constructed in 1813 and was amongst the nine palaces built by King Henri. Today it is a popular tourist attraction and is widely popular for its gigantic gardens, amazing waterworks, and artificial springs.

Iron Market


Iron Market or March en Fer is an open market in Port au Prince. The iron market was actually built as a railway station for Cairo. The market is home to 2000-meter square iron frame halls that are interconnected by a domed gate and is painted with red and green color. Although it has undergone several damages it still stands strong and has been designated as a historical heritage site.
