4 Ways to Use Custom Flags

by Kevin Smith Author

Most people don't realize the hundreds of details that go into planning a large-scale corporate or sporting event. From the decoration to the advertising and coordinating with sponsors, the people who orchestrate these types of events often get to know all the tricks of getting the word out and providing a great venue setup. Flags and banners serve a lot of purposes at events both large and small. These uses of feather flags check many different event-planning boxes.

Give Directions

The army and civil servants like firefighters use flags to direct their vehicles and personnel. For marathons or car expos, flags are also useful for getting large numbers of people from one side of a venue to another or to show where different elements are going to take place. Especially if your event is being held somewhere outside of town, using big colorful flags can provide you with visibility and worry-free ways to direct people to an area.

Mark Off Space

If you're holding games at your event, marking off goal posts or VIP sections will keep order. Flags are a useful way to show people where to go, even from across a room or several meters from a parking area. For races, flags can show runners where drink stations or the finish line are. For fussy VIPs who like to be the center of attention, a flag-marked place just for them can really put them into a good mood.

Advertise

Sponsors are a big part of any event, and almost all of them want to get their brand out into the public in return for their support. Besides announcing them or printing their name in a brochure, putting their logo on large flags around your event will give them the recognition they need. Additionally, you can place your own business's or organization's name on flags to provide you with your own recognition and good press. If you do annual events, you can reuse feather flags over and over because they're so durable.

Honor People

If you're holding a corporate event or honoring a valued team member who's retiring, flags with their name or picture on them can be a fun way to call them out. Because feather flags come in a variety of heights, colors, and with other custom elements, you can get the look you want and that will have the best impact on your crowd.
